Hugo Kimber

Hugo joined Malvern in 2016 as Executive Chairman and leads an experienced management team, providing strategic direction and leadership gained from over 30 years’ experience within the travel and leisure industry.
 
Prior to this Hugo was Executive Chairman Cox & Kings EU Leisure Division which included LateRooms.com and Super Break, providing hotel reservations, short breaks and holidays to customers in the UK and EU.
 
Hugo joined Cox & Kings Travel UK in 1987 in a Marketing and Business Development role, before taking up a position with Cox and Kings India as Director of Sales and Marketing. 

Hugo has held many senior roles within the travel and sustainability sectors including Overseas Director, Banyan Tours India, Managing Director Western & Oriental Group, Director at Private Label Worldwide, CEO of The Carbon Consultancy and Executive Chairman of Explore Worldwide, a leading UK adventure travel company.

John McLaughlin

John joined the business as Group Finance Director for Malvern in late December 2016.  He joined at a time of significant change within the business, not least within the finance functions...

John McLaughlin

John joined the business as Group Finance Director for Malvern in late December 2016.  He joined at a time of significant change within the business, not least within the finance functions in both LateRooms.com and Super Break, who had undergone significant headcount re-sizing and outsourcing. 

John sits on the Malvern Board reporting into the Executive Chairman. John has accountability for setting the strategy for Finance within Malvern which has a key commercial focus as well as the wider financial operations functions.

John has significant commercial finance experience within fast paced businesses, most recently within telecommunications at TalkTalk where he undertook several strategic commercial finance and senior business partnering roles over a period of 10 years.

Denise Parkhouse

Denise joined LateRooms.com as Director of Operations in January 2014 and joined the Senior Leadership Team in 2018 as Operations Director for Malvern Group.

Denise is responsible for the operational aspects of Malvern, including travel product supply, customer service and contact centre and reports to the Executive Chairman.

Denise was previously Director of Sales & Customer Care at Holiday Autos, Head of Operations in Poland for Lastminute.com and Head of Operations at Medhotels.

She uses her great depth of travel industry experience and operations, to the direct and manage excellent customer operations and supply networks for Malvern. This has included the consolidation of operations over the last two years.

Steve Williams

Steve joined LateRooms.com in 2016 as Director of Data & CRM, before joining the senior leadership team in 2018 as Commercial Director.

Steve is responsible for all areas of customer and partner revenue and management for Malvern Group, including the extensive partner network and new business development. He reports directly to the Executive Chairman.

Steve previously worked with Sky Betting and Gaming as Head of CRM, following a number of years with Transactis, a leading data and marketing services company where he was Head of Client Development.

Steve uses his close understanding of data, client requirements and knowledge of product development to ensure that the needs of Malvern partners and clients are fully supported and reflected in our technology development.

Katherine joined Malvern in 2017 and is responsible for all aspects of marketing for the consumer and B2B brands. As the Director of Marketing this includes digital performance, CRM, DM, brochure production, brand, design and above the line activity.

Katherine is a highly skilled commercially led marketer. Following several years’ experience in fashion retail and mail order, she brings a wealth of understanding in how to market a brand cost effectively with a proven track record of delivery on target sales and profit growth.

Frank Creighton

Frank joined Malvern in 2017 as Director of Business Development. Frank has had an integral role in shaping Malvern’s B2B proposition and taking it to market.

Frank’s focus is on identifying and securing profitable partnerships where clients, and their customers, benefit from Malvern’s innovative travel and technology capability.

Frank has first-rate corporate partner experience gained in travel, technology, financial services and professional services. He has led partnership teams at companies ranging from the Co-op to FinTech platform innovator Tuxedo-Omnio.

His broad knowledge across all aspects of partnerships – including commercial, strategy, legal, operations, technology, marketing and implementation – facilitates the delivery of mutually rewarding partnerships.

Chris has been with Malvern since its inception, taking the role of Director of Product Supply in January 2019 and having previously been with Super Break since 2003....

Chris Hagan

Chris has been with Malvern since its inception, taking the role of Director of Product Supply in January 2019 and having previously been with Super Break since 2003.

He is responsible for Product Supply across the group and he and his team ensure excellent relationships and commercial terms with partners in accommodation, transport, entertainment, attraction and experience sectors together with leading product supply strategy.

Chris started his career in retail travel on the shop floor with Lunn Poly (now Tui) before moving to Thomson Travel Group within their call centres in the North East and Yorkshire.

He joined Super Break initially as part of the reservations team before moving to product where he has held various roles responsible for all elements of Super Break product supply including introduction and development of the overseas portfolio and more recently the introduction of exclusive charter flights packages to the product range.

Ed is a highly efficient project manager with many years’ experience in delivery roles for a range of different sectors – including the management of the delivery for Phones 4U and leading the project office and deliveries for Cox Automotive.

Chris joined Super Break as Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in November 2016 before joining the senior management team in April 2017 where he is now the Director of Commercial Finance. He is responsible for group financial planning, online customer experience, business intelligence and commercial analysis.

Chris has previously worked in varied commercial roles and industry sectors, including financial services and facilities management with his most recent roles being at Lloyds Banking Group Plc and Mowlem Plc. His key focus is to ensure the business delivers its financial plan, through having the correct data and a strong reporting system in place to inform and improve commercial decision making.

James joined Malvern Group in 2016 as Financial Controller before being appointed Senior Financial Controller in 2017. He oversees all financial aspects of the business- including payroll, account management and cash management. Over the past 3 years James’ role has expanded as he leads the Financial Operations and Reporting team whilst also reporting externally for Malvern Group.

With over 9 years’ experience working in qualified finance roles, James has worked within companies such as Deloitte, CPP and Tunstall Healthcare.

Ottie Leggate joined Malvern Group in April 2017 as Legal Counsel, where she oversees all legal aspects for the business – including responsibility for advising on all commercial agreements, regulatory, IP and compliance matters.

Ottie originally joined LateRooms.com in April 2014, before relocating to Australia where she expanded her remit and gained experience in Business Development and Project Management, returning to Malvern Group in 2017. Originally trained at Norton Rose in London, Ottie qualified into Corporate and spent a few years in private practice before moving in-house.

Mischa joined the Malvern Group in 2016 as Senior HR Business Partner before being appointed Head of People in 2017. Mischa is responsible for developing and implementing people strategies in relation to talent attraction, development, engagement and retention to deliver the Malvern vision at pace and drive commercial success.

With over 15 years of experience in HR, Mischa has worked in leading global HR functions for businesses in the technology, engineering and finance sectors, including Babcock and Prometric.

Wendy Hill

Wendy Hill joined Malvern in August 2018 as the Head of Customer Operations. Overseeing the contact centre based in York, Wendy is also responsible for all aspects of customer service across the Malvern brands.

As a Senior Operational Lead and Head of Operational Excellence, Wendy has gained over 25 years of experience in the outsource customer service market, working for a variety of brands in different sectors including Capita, EE & British Gas. With a large amount of her career running call centres and managing various sites across the UK and India, Wendy has worked with teams to deliver end to end services and implement best practice that drives accountability, improvement and team development.

Since 2016, Malvern Group has combined the technologies and expertise of the teams at LateRooms.com, short break specialist Super Break and the talent at Malvern Travel Technology.
